Position Summary:

This client facing position is responsible for leading unified communications and collaboration transformation initiatives to deliver desired outcomes to clients in a timely and cost-effective manner. This position will require a deep understanding of the underlying technologies available in the UC/collaboration ecosystem as well as the ability to position these technologies in a way that is impactful to a business audience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead client service delivery of large, multi-discipline client projects; lead assessments; develop and oversee a team of engineers in implementing complex, cross-discipline IT infrastructure environment projects.

• Lead the development and implementation of IT infrastructure systems and client strategy to achieve business goals. Resolve critical issues and contribute to organizational development.

• Create clear, concise proposals and contractually sound Statements of Work, reviewing staff work on the same, ensuring accurate project estimating and pricing.

• Build long-term, superior client relationships in partnership with teams and colleagues, and cultivate a ’trusted advisor’ basis to grow accounts and attain follow-on sales.

• Frequently interact with executives and/or major customers at client site, which involves negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.

• Ensure client service delivery is effectively managed on all dimensions: budget, timeline, quality, deliverables/outcomes, teaming/collaboration and updates/communication.

• Monitor adherence to operational and financial objectives, budgets, schedules, performance requirements, work plans, and contractual obligations.

• Responsible for the professional development of engineering consultants of a functional area. Serve as a player/coach leading by example. Enable “apprentice” or “on-the-job” learning; provide supervision, direct feedback and guidance on an on-going basis; and contribute as required to formal performance management and staff development processes

Requirements Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field

• At least seven (7) years Information Technology experience, including at least five (5) years of hands-on experience with unified communications platforms,

Other Position Requirements

• Experience designing, architecting, planning and implementing unified communications technologies

• Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team.

• Demonstrated ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated ability to manage and escalate technical issues to appropriate vendor support team

• Demonstrated organizational, time-management, problem-solving and follow-up skills

• Demonstrated ability to oversee project work activities

• Demonstrated ability to perform technical skills/knowledge transfer to client

• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership for a networking team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Unified Communications experience

• Cisco CCNP/CCIE voice certification

• Consulting experience

• Knowledge of project estimation and scoping experience

Essential Functions

The position exists to provide technical consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
